Door Hanger Campaign
The Department of Evangelization & Family Life has arranged for the design and local printing of door hangers for parishes to accomplish a “Welcome Back to Church” campaign. There are several samples to choose from and all can be customized with the parish’s information. A few simple suggestions for how to use the door hangers to supplement your current efforts are included in the box below.
There are all kinds of reasons for why people have not returned to Mass in-person yet. Some are grieving, isolated, or still fearful. Some are protecting small children; and others have gotten into a new routine on Sunday morning. As COVID-19 cases decline and the number of people who’ve gotten the vaccine increases, we believe there is a renewed opportunity to invite people to Church. The door hanger campaign is designed to assist parishes in making that outreach. -
How to do the Outreach...
Idea One
On an appointed Sunday, ask all your parishioners to each take a few door hangers and distribute them to family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers.
Idea Two
On an appointed day, have small teams of parishioners place the door hangers on the front doors of the homes around the parish territory.

- Possible schedule of the day
- Start with 9 am mass
- 9:30 – sendoff and blessing
- 12:00 pm end of mission

We suggest the parish name, parish address, parish website, and parish social media be on the front
Suggestions for the back
Weekend Mass and Confession schedule, and some standard notes about the parish's steps to keep parishioners safe during worship are suggested for the back.
