St. Timothy Award

The St. Timothy Award can be offered in recognition of a high school teen who is a true witness to our Catholic Faith and has exhibited outstanding service in Youth/Parish Ministry.

All High School teens who are living their faith and actively involved in parish youth ministry through one or more of the following: Youth Group, Youth Choir, Liturgical ministries, Religious Ed, Altar Servers, VBS, or other parish ministry that includes youth are eligible. The St. Timothy Certificate can be awarded to ONE High School teen per parish/school, per year by the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries on behalf of the Diocese of Trenton.

• This is not a scholarship.  

• It is an opportunity to affirm the faith of a young parishioner and celebrate them as an example for all young people in your parish. 
• Only a designated adult from each Parish/Community can make a nomination… i.e. the Pastor, Youth Minister, Parish Catechetical Leader (Dir./Cor. of Religious Ed), Campus Minister, etc.
• Only one teen per Parish/Community, per year can be nominated.
• Every nominated teen receives the award (mailed to the parish/school/person who made the nomination)
• Every teen that receives the award will be featured in the Monitor, representing their Parish or school.
• Nominations are due.... May 20, 2024
