I remember as though it were yesterday, sitting at my own presidential installation Mass at The Catholic University of America 17 years ago. I can recall thinking to myself in the midst of it all “what have I gotten myself into?”
What follows is the homily, as prepared for delivery, given by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., at the Diocese of Trenton’s annual Catholic Schools Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton, on Oct. 15.
As Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton, I consider it a privilege to invite all members of the Diocese to remember and share our conviction as Catholics with everyone you meet that “every life is worth living.”
