Calls have gone out for teens who want to showcase their talents during the diocesan sponsored YOUTH TALENT SHOW, set for Oct. 14 in St. Mary Church, Manahawkin. The showcase is part of the
Year of Youth Fest, a day-long event that will include food, games, and Mass with
Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. The Youth Fest will formally kick off the
Year of Youth in the Diocese of Trenton, which runs from July 1, 2018 to June 21, 2019.
In brief video appeals, teens are being asked by their peers to consider entering their talents via video entry. In one of the videos calling for auditions, DanaRose Glenn of St. Pius X, Forked River shares “Whether you’re a singer, a dancer, a juggler, or a yodeler, bring it!” All those entering the show must be between 7
th and 12
th grade.
The
Year of Youth is sponsored by the
Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministriesand encompasses multiple events over the rest of the year aimed at inspiring young Catholics in Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties to own their faith and act upon it.
