As Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton, I offer every prayerful and best wish to Archbishop Bernard Hebda, newly-appointed Archbishop of St. Paul-Minneapolis Archdiocese. Until now, Archbishop Hebda had been coadjutor Archbishop with the right of succession in the Archdiocese of Newark. I enjoyed his wisdom and warmth so much during his time in New Jersey. He had also served as administrator of the Archdiocese to which he has now been appointed. Archbishop Hebda is extremely well-suited for his new responsibilities. Pope Francis has given a great gift to the priests and people of the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis on this Holy Thursday. May the grace and joy of the Risen Lord go with him to his new home.
Respectfully,
Most Reverend David M. O’Connell, C.M., J.C.D.
Bishop of Trenton
