St. Catharine Church, Holmdel NJ, is currently seeking applicants for a part-time Religious Education Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant works closely with the Coordinator of Religious Education in the successful implementation of the parish’s religious education program. He/she is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including maintaining records, entering data into the computer, answering phone calls, ordering supplies, and completing mailings. The Administrative Assistant also assists with the student registration process, communicates with the families of our program, prepares for and is present at religious education classes, buys supplies and sets up for events and functions, checks student homework, and is present to help with sacrament ceremonies and liturgies.
Candidates must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. They must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and be able to maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing and willing to work a flexible work schedule including some evenings and Sundays.
