New Jersey Catholic Charismatic Conference – Arise!
Middletown, NJ -- The 2019 New Jersey Catholic Charismatic Conference – “Arise!” (Is. 60:1) will be held in St. Mary, Mother of God Church and parish center Oct. 25 and 26, 2019. The New Jersey Catholic Charismatic Conference remains the longest-running teaching Conference in Charismatic Renewal in the United States, with workshops that complement the keynote talks at the general Conference gatherings.
The 2019 Conference theme “Arise!” is taken from the prophet Isaiah reminding the faithful about the favor of God in the midst of darkness, according to Father Jeff Kegley, chairman of the Conference. He explained, “There are many challenges facing the Church, families and society. The Conference will help the participants to activate the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and ‘Arise!’ to advance the Kingdom of God in the work of the New Evangelization.”
The Conference will have the preeminent and most sought after keynote speaker in Charismatic Renewal, Dr. Mary Healy, professor of Sacred Scripture at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit and an international speaker on topics related to Scripture, evangelization, healing and the spiritual life. She is a general editor of the “
Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture” and author of two of its volumes, “
The Gospel of Mark” and “
Hebrews.” Her other books include “
Men and Women Are from Eden: A Study Guide to John Paul II's Theology of the Body,” and “
Healing: Bringing the Gift of God’s Mercy to the World.” Dr. Healy is chair of the Theological Commission of CHARIS (Charismatic Renewal International Service) in Rome. She serves the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian unity as a member of the Pentecostal-Catholic International Dialogue. In 2014 Pope Francis appointed her as one of the first three women ever to serve on the Pontifical Biblical Commission.
Leading the teaching workshops is Paul Martini, an Associate Evangelist with Global Awakening. Martini has traveled the world extensively training, teaching and imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He has ministered in 35 nations and has preached on five different continents. Throughout his travels, he has seen blind eyes restored, deaf ears opened, and the crippled walk through the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
A Healing Service is scheduled for Saturday evening, led by Dr. Healy and Paul Martini, and will be open to the general public and community, not only those registering for the Conference. Priests will be available at this time also to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
One of the goals of the Conference Committee is to ensure that the “Arise!” Conference serves and ministers to the entire family, according to Father Kegley. There will be a children’s ministry to assist younger families and a teen track on St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body that will presented by Enza Cerami, founder of Living Stones Ministry, along with John Watchorn and Cassandra Abbud of St. Mary Life Teen.
A special addition to the Conference this year is a “Priests, Deacons and Seminarians” workshop that will be presented by Dr. Healy on Friday, Oct. 25 from 3 to 6 p.m. The workshop will focus on the instruction of Pope Francis to Church leaders during the Golden Jubilee of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in 2017, to “bring the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to the whole Church.” There is no cost to the participants in the Priests, Deacons and Seminarian workshop, however, registration is required at

Suggested donation for the Conference is $40. To register visit
