Faithful of the Diocese of Trenton will have the opportunity to stand for the sanctity of life alongside hundreds of thousands from around the world during the Jan. 18
March For Life in Washington, D.C. Themed “Unique From Day One: Pro-Life is Pro-Science,” the events in the nation’s capital will mark the 46th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion in the United States.
Faithful who wish to gather in advance of the March are encouraged to take part in a pro-life Mass that will be celebrated by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., in St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold, at 7 p.m. Jan. 17. A live stream of the Mass will be carried by the Diocese and available on

Attendees of the Rally for Life, which will take place on the steps of the N.J. State House in Trenton Jan. 22, are invited to begin their day with a Mass for Life at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton. The Cathedral is in walking distance to the State House, and the Rally for Life kicks off at 11 a.m. To learn more about the rally, visit
