Diocese’s CCHD to soon accept grant applications; Check out new videos from the Diocese of Trenton

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Diocese of Trenton, is set to receive  applications for its annual campaign that awards grants to Catholic agencies in the Diocese that focus on providing basic human needs.
 
Each year, the CCHD-DT gives out three to five grants, each totaling $2,000 to $10,000. The grants are comprised of funds received from an annual, Diocese-wide collection the weekend before Thanksgiving. This year’s collection is Nov. 18-19.
 
Three criteria were established to ensure transparency in the application and grant-award process:

1. Priority will be given to new initiatives taken by agencies and to those that enhance or provide for a foundation of self-sufficiency.
2. The agency will have a mission of providing social services with a focus on basic human needs, such as food, clothing, shelter or jobs.
3. Applications will only be accepted from Catholic social agencies recognized as such by the National Catholic Directory and parish social service outreach programs in the Diocese of Trenton. 

Grants will not be given to fund salaries, building upgrades, operating deficits, research projects or fundraising costs.
 
Applications will be accepted beginning Sept. 1 and are due by Oct. 2.  You can see the full criteria and download an application at dioceseoftrenton.org/catholic-campaign-for-human-development.

  The Diocese of Trenton’s Department of Multimedia Production has been busy this summer creating compelling videos for various diocesan departments and ministries. Some of the most recent videos include the following:

• The Diocese’s Department of Pastoral Care hosted a summer spirituality day for seniors on July 12 in St. Leo the Great Parish, Lincroft. Msgr. • As part of the Diocese’s Faith in our Future initiative, Mark Mogilka, director of stewardship and pastoral services for the Diocese of Green Bay, was invited to address clergy, staff and parish leaders from across the four counties on best practices for building inter-parish collaboration.
