The Church of St. Isaac Jogues in Marlton, New Jersey is seeking an experienced, part-time, Parish Bookkeeper to support the Pastor’s responsibilities to the Parish. This minister is a steward of the physical, financial and personnel resources of the parish.
Qualifications include: a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the proven ability to problem-solve and multi-task effectively, budget management, and strong computer knowledge. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the culture and structure of the Catholic Church, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field, plus 10 years of experience to include accounting and financial reporting, vendor management, and payroll administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
Major responsibilities include: maintaining accuracy of all financial files and records, preparing and reviewing budgets, handling accounts payable, maintaining the general ledger and bank reconciliation, processing payroll and employee benefits, and participation in quarterly Finance Council meetings. Interested applicants should have knowledge of accounting principles and practices and excellent interpersonal skills.
The Parish Bookkeeper is a key parish administration position and works along with the pastor and other members of the leadership team to ensure the smooth operation of the parish.
