The parish community of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in Lakewood, NJ, is seeking a full-time Parish Bookkeeper. This large parish is comprised of three worship sites, an Elementary School, a cemetery, and a Community Center.
This individual will be responsible for managing the parish’s financial recordkeeping, including monthly closing, posting journal entries, administering payroll, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and completing financial reports.
Job Qualifications
This successful candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality and have excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in WORD and Excel; prior payroll processing experience with knowledge of Paylocity and ParishSOFT/Connect-Now a plus.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of experience as a bookkeeper/accountant.
