Spurred by the recent terrorist attack against innocent civilians of Israel and the escalating violence it has unleashed, Pope Francis has issued a call for a day of fasting, penance and prayer for peace in the world on Oct. 27.
In response, Bishop David O’Connell, will conduct a Prayer Service for Peace that will stream on youtube.com/trentondiocese and on the Diocese’s websites beginning at 8 a.m. Oct. 27.
The Bishop has asked parishioners to join him in praying for the Holy Land, for the people of Israel and Palestine who are under the grip of unprecedented violence, for the victims, especially for the children, for the wounded, for those held hostage, for the missing and their families.
The Pope invited men and women of every Christian denomination and other religions as well as those committed to the cause of peace to participate in any way they feel is appropriate on Oct. 27. For more information, click HERE.
