Family Faith Formation
The family is a proclamation of faith in that it is the natural place in which faith can be lived in a simple and spontaneous manner. Directory of Catechesis 227
Every person belongs to a family. Families are the foundation of the Catholic parish. Amid the family and the parish community, people encounter Christ and learn to be his disciples. Family and Parish are the primary environments in which evangelization and catechesis take place. Together in Mission is a tool to assist each family to become more intentional about evangelizing at every phase of life.
Are you seeking faith formation and sacramental preparation for your family? The family is supported by the local parish to provide faith formation to the entire family from the womb to the tomb. Each parish and catholic school offer a religious education program for families with elementary aged children (ages six through fourteen) in the community. Additional ministries are supported by the parish including youth ministry, marriage ministry, adult faith formation, Christian Initiation, and much more.
