Each family finds its own unique way of serving God and serving others. We’re looking forward to supporting you and your family in your daily journey of faith, hope and love.
Every person’s faith journey begins in the cradle. In the bosom of the family, parents are, by word and example, the first teachers of the faith. For this reason the Second Vatican Council, using an ancient expression, calls the family the domestic Church.
As domestic Church, the family is the place where identity is nurtured, lessons of life are learned, and the seeds of faith are sown. Each family finds its own unique way of serving God and serving others. We’re looking forward to supporting you and your family in your daily journey of faith, hope and love.
Parenting is one of life’s most enriching and satisfying experiences. It is also one of life’s most awesome, and sometimes overwhelming, challenges. All parents need help at one time or another as they struggle to nurture, love and teach their children. Your Catholic faith is one of the most powerful tools you possess to help you along the way, as you forge important bonds, build relationships and share your values with your children.
We bless your name, O Lord,
for sending your own incarnate Son To become part of a family,
so that, as he lived its life,
He would experience its worries and its joys.
We ask you, Lord, to protect and watch over this family,
so that in the strength of your grace its members may enjoy prosperity,
Possess the priceless gift of your peace,
And, as the Church alive in The home,
Bear witness in this world to your glory.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
