Seminarians taking part in third annual Clerkship Week

This week, seminarians of the Diocese of Trenton are taking part in the third annual Seminarian Clerkship Week, hosted by St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood, Pa.

The seminarians of the Diocese, accompanied by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., spent the afternoon June 7 in the newly opened Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, part of the cultural enrichment component of the week. The Clerkship Week, launched by Bishop O’Connell in 2015, is designed to cover material generally not taught in traditional seminary curricula, and includes workshops on such topics as balancing a parish budget, marketing, interpersonal relationships, pastoral leadership and legal responsibilities. Instructors for the program, which runs through June 9, include personnel from Villanova University’s Center for Church Management.
