Please hold in prayer Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. and the priests in our Diocese who are gathering today for the Annual Convocation of Priests in Galloway; a three-day retreat of rest and renewal for the priests in the Diocese of Trenton.
The theme for this year’s convocation is “Spirituality” and the main presenter will be Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli, Diocese of Paterson. Bishop Serratelli has served in parish ministry, as seminary professor and as Vicar General & Moderator of the Curia in the Archdiocese of Newark. His Excellency is also currently a member of the congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments and the Chairman of the International Committee on English in the Liturgy. In addition to Bishop Serratelli’s talks, priests will have opportunities to celebrate Mass and share camaraderie.
Bishop O’Connell will serve as the principal celebrant for Mass on Wednesday. The Mass will be offered for the deceased Bishops and Priests of the Diocese of Trenton.
