April 19, 2023St Theresa’s Church in Little Egg Harbor is looking for a full time Director of Music to develop and lead a music ministry that enhances the overall worship experience at our Church. The position requires the individual to possess competent organ and piano skills, strong choral skills and organizational skills that will assist in their direction of an adult and a youth choir.
The Director of Music coordinates and provides the liturgical music for all regularly scheduled Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses at the Parish of St. Theresa including but not limited to: 4:00 PM Saturday, 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM Sunday.
The Director of Music coordinates and provides the liturgical music for Daytime Prayer with Benediction on Thursdays at 11:30 AM.
The Director of Music coordinates and provides the liturgical music for Funerals and Weddings:
The Director of Music coordinates and provides the liturgical music for all regularly scheduled Holy Day Masses and yearly liturgical celebrations including but not limited to: Confirmation, First Communion Mass, Advent and Lent Penance Services, Holy Week Services, Divine Mercy Sunday, St. Theresa’s Feast Day, Stations of the Cross, All Soul’s Day, Parish Retreats and Missions, Anointing Masses.
The Director of Music is responsible for interviewing and coordinating persons outside of the Parish to use the Parish's musical instruments and/or to perform at any Music function occurring at or sponsored by the Parish.
The Director of Music is responsible for securing experts to perform planned maintenance or repair to the Parish's musical instruments
The Director of Music regularly meets with the Pastor giving updates on projects undertaken by the Music Ministry and makes recommendations regarding musical/liturgical policy.
