Director of Faith Formation – full time

July 5, 2023Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Maple Shade, seeks a dynamic Catholic disciple who can embrace a leadership role in the formation of our parish in the faith. This new team member will report directly to the pastor, be part of our strategic leadership team, liturgy committee and message series team. Primary responsibilities include: leading our two year Confirmation program, nurturing our youth and young adult ministries, and overseeing and developing our adult faith formation, especially via small groups. A supporting role in other aspects of faith formation, such as Family Catechesis, RCIA, and Children’s programs rounds out job duties. Regular nights and weekends are integral to the role.
QUALIFICATIONS:- A Master's Degree in Catholic Theology/Religious Education is preferred, however background and experience will be taken into consideration for a qualified candidate with a lesser degree.
- Love for the Lord and the Church and willingness to imbue that love in our parish family.
- Proven leadership skills, effective oral and written communication and comfort interacting with people of all ages, especially teens.
- Capabilities in program development & evaluation, volunteer recruiting and development are required.
- Technological proficiency is essential, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Google Suite, social media platforms, and database management.
- Safe Environment Training including VIRTUS certification and criminal background check required for working with youth.
- Familiarity with ParishSoft Family Suite is a definite plus.
