For the third time in as many years, “Cristo Para Todos – Christ for All,” the Diocese of Trenton’s Spanish-language television show, is among the programs set to be honored during the 52nd annual Gabriel Awards June 22 at the Catholic Media Conference in Québec, Canada.
Cristo Para Todos was awarded for the episode “
Meme de tu Vida” (“The Meme of your Life”), in the category of “Entertainment, National or Local Release.” The episode features an interview with Cristo Para Todos writer, Esteban Cairol. Cairol, who lives in San José, Costa Rica, has been an integral part of the CPT team for six years. In the episode, via Skype, Cairol shares his expertise and experience in using social media to challenge people of faith to reflect on the image they portray to the world online.
In addition to helping create the flow of the show through his vision and writing, Cairol also is behind the creative visioning of comedy scenes in each episode. He‘s also the content creator for the Cristo Para Todos companion blog,
EspatiEspami (He is for you, He is for me).
“The episode really connects faith and life with a contagious joy and humor thanks to the acting of María Agudo and Roberto Juarez of St. Joseph Parish, Trenton,” said Matt Greeley, the Diocese’s Associate Director of Communications who also serves as a co-host of the show. “The professional look of each detail of the show would not be possible without the exceptional production team of Carlos Delcid, Cynthia Pineda, Ryan Larason, and Frank Lettieri, Jr.”
The Gabriel Awards, sponsored by the Catholic Academy of Communications Professionals, honor excellence in film, video, audio and internet, and are given to top producers, acknowledging outstanding artistic achievement in media that entertains and enriches with a true vision of humanity.
