St. Veronica Roman Catholic Church in Howell, NJ is seeking a part time Coordinator of Communications. Position is 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule; some remote hours are available. Coordinate all parish communications and platforms including weekly bulletin, weekly newsletter via FlockNotes, Facebook, Instagram, updates to WordPress website, and digital sign updates. This individual will take pictures at parish events to use in communications and archive, create flyers, posters and ads for events and parish initiatives and maintain two bulletin boards.
As a member of the parish office staff, candidate is also expected to cover parish office, answer phones, and greet visitors as needed. Qualifications include but not limited to:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel & PowerPoint) & Adobe preferred but will train.
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to communicate the goodness of the church and ministry.
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to manage weekly deadlines.
Approachable with good people skills
Pass Criminal background check and become certified in Diocese of Trenton Virtus Protecting God’s Children and vulnerable Adults
