The Diocese released a list of priest assignments announced April 9 by Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M. Most of the assignments take effect July 1, 2018 with a few exceptions.
The announcements include the four parishes to which the men who will be ordained priests in June will be assigned as parochial vicars; six priests who are retiring; six new pastors or administrators; nine transfers of parochial vicars, and five special assignments to posts outside of parish duties, such as diocesan responsibilities or chaplaincies.
The pastors of parishes slated for merger this year have been selected, but will be published with the parishes’ new names in a separate announcement on or about April 19.
Other assignments are expected, and will be announced in the coming weeks when they have been finalized.
