Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M.has released his Christmas message this year, reminding us that “the whole becomes different at Christmas, if we allow it all to touch and move our hearts.”
“We begin anew at Christmas,” said Bishop O’Connell as he reflects on his recent pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe near Mexico City and highlights the unique and essential role of the Blessed Mother in the lives of all who believe in her son.
Bishop O’Connell celebrated Mass and shared a Christmas dinner with retired priests Dec. 13 in Villa Vianney, Lawrenceville.
You can find photos from this celebration here. On Dec. 14, the Bishop welcomed more than 90 priests of the Diocese for the annual Advent Spirituality Day and Christmas Luncheon, held in St. David the King Parish, West Windsor. A talk by Father Philip Bochanski, a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Director of Courage International, was part of the day.
