Certificate in Adult Formation Leadership
The Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF) is an online learning initiative through the University of Dayton. This online certificate program is designed for parish leaders and adult volunteers in parish or diocesan ministry wishing to design, implement and facilitate adult learning and faith formation in parishes. The learning takes place in cohort groups who will engage in both in-person and online coursework. For those in the Diocese of Trenton, courses cost $50 for each 5-week course and $40 for the 3-week seminar course, plus the cost of books and other materials. Pastoral Care Training Program is a comprehensive training program for volunteers in parish pastoral ministries, and for jail and prison volunteers. This training is specific for those working in Bereavement Ministr, with information about Ministry to Separated & Divorced included in the program. The twelve training sessions are designed to equip parish pastoral ministry volunteers with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual formation needed for effective service. Marriage Ministry Formation training for parish staff, priests, deacons and marriage ministry couples (involvement in marriage ministry moves couples forward in their faith journey; couples move from pre-evangelization into proclamation. They become disciples when they proclaim the good news as they minister to other couples out of their own experience and share their faith story through every stage of family life. The Diocese of Trenton and My Catholic Faith Delivered have partnered to provide you with new, interactive, user-friendly online courses. It is a unique web-based platform which enhances knowledge and understanding while fostering a full, conscious and active Catholic Faith. Upon completion of this program, which is organized into five modules specifically for the Diocese of Trenton, the Department of Catechesis will reimburse the parish catechists of elementary children and elementary school teachers $45.
