bibleThe Directory of Bible Studies in Burlington County is the pilot, the first of four directories that will be published over the next year as information is gathered or submitted.

Parishes within the four county area are invited to submit their bible study entries or updates at anytime. Please follow the format used for the entries below.

All are welcome to attend any of the bible studies listed below. Most are without cost; several have a modest registration fee.”


Burlington County

Beverly – St. Joseph, 805 Warren Street

Women of the Bible: A Study of Ruth, Esther and Judith begins on Thursday, September 8 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Browns Mills – St. Ann, 22 Trenton Road

Paulist Press Bible Study for the New Testament (a survey) in early September. All are welcome.

Delran – Church of the Holy Name, 260 Conrow Road

Hainesport – Our Lady of Queen of Peace, 1603 Marne Highway

Acts of the Apostles will be studied for 10 weeks starting on Tuesday, September 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

Medford – St. Mary of the Lakes, 40 Jackson Road

Bible studies are offered regularly weekly, in the mornings and evenings at the Emmaus Center.

Mount Holly - Sacred Heart, 260 High Street

The Gospel of Matthew based on the Little Rock Bible VCR Study, will begin on September 19, 2005 at 9:30 a.m.

Mount Laurel - St. John Neumann, 560 Walton Avenue

Topical bible studies will be offered throughout the year, starting in October on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Church.

  • An Overview of the Gospel of Mark in preparation for Liturgical Cycle B which begins on the First Sunday in Advent on November 27, 2005. Two presentations will be offered on Monday, October 18 at 9:30 a.m. and repeated at 7:30 p.m.
  • The introductory DVD to the Great Adventure Bible Timeline bible course- a twenty four session study - tells The Story through fourteen books of the bible, set in twelve historical periods. Similar presentations are anticipated for other county locations or possibly in the eight newly created Diocesan Faith Enrichment Centers.

Bible Reading will begin on September 19th at 7:30 PM in McManimon Library in the Church. We will follow The Little Rock Scripture Study as we read the Acts of the Apostles.


Monmouth County

Marlboro - St. Gabriel, 100 N. Main Street

Course will explore 12 New Testament Apocrypha (non-canonical writing). Meetings will be held every other Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00pm, starting September 15. Cost $10.00 for printed materials.

Ocean

Classes are held every 2nd & 4th Tuesday (11:00 AM) and Wednesday (7:00 PM) of the month. We take an informal look at Scripture, with a Roman Catholic perspective. All are welcome, please bring your own Bible (if you do not have one, we will supply you with a copy).
