The Celebration and Mass for the World Day of the Sick was held this year at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. Deanna Sass, Director of the DoT Pastoral Care Department organized the day. Msgr. Walter Nolan, retired priest and hospital chaplain, was the celebrant for Mass.
Clergy, Chaplains, Religious, Lay Ecclesial Ministers, Medical and Mental Healthcare Providers, Faith Community Nurses, Bioethicists and Volunteers who faithfully serve those in need.
When coping with the many facets of serious illness it is often hard to take “time out” to seek spiritual strength. The Gennesaret Retreat, offers a respite, a quiet time, an oasis, to enable one to continue their journey. The retreat focuses on God’s love, his forgiveness, and his faithfulness. It’s a wonderful prayerful retreat with Sacrament of Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Eucharist for seriously or terminally ill persons.
