Multicultural Liaison Council

A Multicultural Liaison Council has been convened by Bishop O’Connell with appointed representatives from each of the major cultural groups within the diocese. With the support of the Council, the Department of Multicultural Ministry will bring attention to the most pressing needs and concerns of the various cultural communities, and will assist parishes and diocesan offices as they address the needs that are identified. Parishioners of our diocese who wish to speak with a diocesan representative regarding one of our cultural communities may call the Director of the Department of Multicultural Ministry (see ‘contact us’) who which in turn will contact the appropriate liaison.

The bishop-appointed liaisons for each of our diocesan cultural communities are as follows:

    • Haitian Community: Father Pierre-Michel Alabré
Although the Haitian Center is closing effective July 1, 2012,
