The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is designed to form disciples of Jesus into the fullness of Christian life.
As you move through times of prayer and reflection, Scripture reading, questioning and storytelling, worship and works of charity, you will be accompanied by members of the parish community. Faith Probably Won’t Strike You Like Lightning

Often, belief in Jesus comes gradually. It might begin with a feeling or a question or a person. And then it tends to grow. There’s no “right age” or “one way” to faith. The Holy Spirit sends people, resources and most importantly – grace. The RCIA process encourages a relationship with God as the seeds of faith begin to grow.
Why Go It Alone?

I was reading the Bible by myself, and even though it’s a very strong time and emotional time to sit and read the Bible, I learned that you can’t go it alone. You need community. Being Catholic is being part of a spiritual family and sometimes it’s a flesh and blood family that draws people to the Church. Often a husband or wife, a son or daughter, or even a dear friend provides the first invitation to “Come and see.” Next an invitation by a Church member opens the door to formation through the RCIA. RCIA teams help find answers to questions, make the Word of God come alive and prepare people to receive the Sacraments – encounters with Jesus Christ. The community of the family of God is the support for beginning faith.
We Might Wander but God Works

Some decisions we make lead to God and some lead us away from God – into the darkness of unbelief or apathy. But God patiently waits and works – often through the Church – to reach hearts. The Church isn’t perfect, but it is made up of many good and holy people. It doesn’t have a spotless history, but it has an amazing story. It might not offer flawless ritual, but it holds the perfect Prayer – the Mass. God works to touch souls through the people, history, ritual and beauty that make up the Church.p>
And through all that, God can work miracles of faith. With nothing but an open heart – and God’s grace – exploration can become belonging that is transformative and that leads to life’s great joy
