Department of Development
Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous; teach me to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to seek reward, except that of knowing that I do your will. Amen
- St. Ignatius Loyola
To benefit the Charitable Trust for the Aged, Infirmed
and Disabled Priests
The proceeds from this event help us to maintain the priest's retirement residence at Villa Vianney; and to provide healthcare for our retired priests. Your faithful support of this day is very much appreciated and will help us to continue to care for the growing number of men who have served our diocese so well.
The largest fundraiser that touches every ministry and parish in our Diocese is the Bishop's Annual Appeal. Our office overseas every aspect of the appeal: marketing and public relations, data and web technologies, trainings, and resourcing every parish in the diocese.
The priest is a servant of the Lord, giving his life to worship, prayer and commitment to God's people. We are committed to fostering an environment where vocations to the priesthood are valued and nurturned within the domestic church of the family and the local parish community.
In 2007, the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Trenton, through its strategic plan, Commitment to Excellence, endorsed the establishment of the foundation to ensure a quality education for all students of the Catholic schools within the Diocese.
The Catholic Alumni Partnership
The Catholic Alumni Partnership has been developed through our Foundation for Student Achievement, to enable us to raise necessary funding for our Catholic schools. Through CAP we will be able to provide tuition assistance, scholarships and improved curriculum for our thirty-seven school in the Diocese of Trenton.
Renovation of Saint Mary the Assumption Cathedral
When the Diocese of Trenton was established in 1881, Saint Mary's Church was designated the cathedral, the Mother Church of the diocese and home to the cathedra, the chair of the bishop. Since then the cathedral has welcomed people from all walks of life into a community nourished by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthened for the challenges of life.
