Parish School Board Bylaws
Regional School Board Bylaws
We strive to have our schools remain strong in their Catholic identity, academically excellent and financially viable. For this reason, each of our schools will institute a school board to work with the pastors and principals to ensure our students are educated in a safe and secure environment where they continue learning to love and loving to learn.
What Are the Challenges in realizing this vision?
- Demographics
- Finances tied to parish
- Leadership
- Educating those with financial constraints
- Maintaining quality religious education
- Schools with significant non-Catholic populations
- Balancing resources with other parish needs
- Advocacy for parents to select Catholic schools
- Enrollment
- Others
Who is being called on to meet these challenges? Our pastors and principals but also the laity in our diocese is being called upon to lend their time, treasure and talent to meet the many challenges of Catholic elementary education in the 21st century. The boards assist our schools in the following areas:
- Involvement in the Educational Ministry
- Assurance of the Mission
- Dynamic Leadership
- Direction / Vision
- Stability / Stewardship / Accountability
- Protection of Rights
- Connection to Stakeholders
- Support for Administrators
