Office of Missions
The Diocesan Office of Missions, which is comprised of the Pontifical Mission Societies, exists to promote mission awareness and support for the various programs. These Pontifical Mission Societies include the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, the Holy Childhood Association, the Mission Union of the Clergy and the Society of St. Peter the Apostle.
Service Areas
- the Missionary Cooperation Plan enables representatives of missionary orders, groups and dioceses to speak in the parishes of the Diocese of Trenton
- the Council on Mission Education enables representatives of missionary orders to give presentations in the Catholic schools of the diocese
- a library of films, video cassettes, slides and recordings is available to help broaden understanding of the mission Church
- Grammar and High School Mission Reachouts enable students to participate in workshops conducted by representatives of missionary orders
- a variety of programs, in cooperation with the National Office of the Holy Childhood Association, is offered to promote mission involvement among students in grammar schools and parish religious education programs
